Why are you here at the River?
I'm at The River because I feel God led me here. I was raised with Sunday school but as an adult I never really attended church until about 4 years ago some very excited friends told us about the River and how different it was to anything I had probably experienced. So my husband (raised a strict Catholic) and I decided we would go once or twice to see what all the excitement was all about. Well I was emotionally moved on that very first visit- I had found a church that talked about relevant problems and struggles in such a creative and fresh way. It was authentic and at it's core based on the gospels undeniable truth. Two years later I accepted the postion of Communications/Marketing Director. It has been, so far, the most moving thing I have ever been a part of.

What drives you?
I have such a desire now not to just watch life but to (pardon the expression) get off my butt and participate. Some may say it is God or his Holy Spirit, and I believe it is. But it is also all the energy and people at the River that drives me as well. A palatable passion to change the community, help the less fortunate and spread the teachings of Jesus- that's what drives me!
